About Venise Karris

Venise Karris moved to Las Vegas in 1995 with her two daughters. She has resided in Assembly District 10 for the past 28 years. Venise entered the Electrical JATC in 1996 and is now a retired member of IBEW Local 357. She enjoyed her 27 years as a Journeyman Wireman working on many projects from her first – New York-New York to her last – Fountaine Bleau.  Venise was an Executive Board member for IBEW Local 357 and a Steward for nearly 7 years. She also was a founding member of the Women’s Committee for IBEW Local 357 and was a member of the Volunteer Action Committee – a joint venture between NECA/IBEW. Upon retirement, Venise has chosen to give back to her community by running for the Nevada Assembly.
