Fighting for working families, including her own.
Venise is one tough Grandma.
Venise has spent her life being a trailblazer. In 1995, she moved to Las Vegas with her two young daughters. She bought a home in Assembly District 10 and has been there ever since. She has raised her family here as a single mom, joined IBEW as a Journeyman Wireman, working on many critical projects around Las Vegas. She was a founding member of the Women’s Committee for IBEW Local 357 and has always had a passion for fighting for women in the trades. Now as a retiree, she has chosen to continue that fight in Carson City, proudly representing Assembly District 10, which has given so much to her and her family. But one of her most important titles is Grandma and its a role that she takes seriously as she makes every decision in the Nevada Legislature.
